Body of missing boy fished out of Wullar lake

The body of Fahim Asgar, 3, who went missing from here since May 6, was fished out from North Kashmir's Wullar lake on Tuesday.

The body of Fahim Asgar, 3, who went missing from here since May 6, was fished out from North Kashmir's Wullar lake on Tuesday.

Police said the body was traced by Laharwalpora residents on the banks of Wullar, 60 km away from Srinagar city. "A police team and Marcos fished out the body from the lake, and it was identified by deceased's parents," police added.

Police said, "The mysterious disappearance of the Fahim had triggered protests in the area."
An investigation is being done.

Fahim is believed to have slipped into the Nowpora-Babademb stream on the evening of May 6.However, deceased's parents said the boy was afraid of going near the water bodies and suspect kidnapping.
