Bomb hoax halts Karnataka Express

A bomb hoax halted the Delhi-Bangalore 2628 Up Karnataka Express for nearly four hours here on Sunday. Railway sources said the train left Bhopal at 8.35 am and around 9.45 am information was received at the GRP control about a bomb in the train.

The train was immediately stopped at Hoshangabad and the district administration was alerted. DRM Ashok Kumar Agrawal and senior officers of the rail division rushed to the control office.

A bomb disposal squad reached here from Bhopal. The passengers and the train were searched but it turned out to be a hoax. The train left at 13.30 pm.
