The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was rushed to the City Civil and Sessions Court in Laldarwaja area here after a suspicious box was received by the officials in Ahmedabad through mail, they said.

"A box had arrived in mail with a message on it saying that box contains a bomb and will blow up," police inspector K S Savani told PTI.

"The BDS and dog squad are examining the box which was sent from Mehsana district," he said.

"Nothing suspicious has come out yet while the BDS and the dog squad are examining the box," Savani said.

Last week also a threat letter was received by the City Civil and Sessions Court official which was undersigned as from Lashkar-e-Toiba.

The letter addressed to the principal judge had threated to blow up the court premises. However, nothing suspicious was found after a thorough search by the dog squad then.

Following the letter security inside and outside the court premises had been beefed up.
