Bombay HC rejects bail plea of Telgi's wife

The Bombay High Court on Thursday rejected the bail plea of Shahida Telgi, wife of prime accused in the multi-crore fake stamp paper scam Abdul Karim Telgi.
Shahida, who is at present admitted to a hospital in Pune, had applied for bail on February 8 on medical grounds.
She had also pleaded that she had been implicated in the case only because of the fact that she was Telgi's wife.
Earlier, opposing the bail on Wednesday, the CBI said that several accused in the scam had revealed in their confession statements that Shahida was very much involved in the scam.

The hearing on the bail plea will continue on Friday.
