He said, “If Azam Khan had not released the miscreants in Muzaffarnagar, then riot of such magnitude might not have taken place. As such, he should be arrested on charges of instigating riot and be booked under NSA.” Kalyan Singh was addressing the media persons at the Bharatiya Janata Party office here on Sunday. He emphasised that riots in UP could not be controlled because of the appeasement policy of Samajwadi Party.

“BJP MLAs Sangeet Som and Suresh Rana have been arrested to appease one community whereas Congress leader Saeeduz-Zaman and BSP MLA Qadir Rana are free till now,” added Kalyan. He said, not a single riot took place during his tenure but now riots were a regular feature due to vote bank politics.

“Muslims must realise that all political parties are achieving their goals through their votes,” said Kalyan Singh.
