The owner of a hostel and two other teachers were booked by Industrial Area police station, Jaora, here on Friday for allegedly bashing a child.

According to information, Ankit (9) from Arniya Pitha village, was staying at the Sai Academy Hostel. In his complaint, he told police that the hostel’s owner Neha Panchal and two teachers RH Chouhan and Shyam severely assaulted him after he refused to follow their orders on Thursday night.

On Friday morning, the trio once again thrashed him, apparently without reason, he alleged. A frightened Ankit fled from the hostel and was later found by some villagers in an unconscious state. The villagers then informed the police.

At the police station, Ankit narrated the ordeal to the police and his parents, who had also reached the police station by then. He said that Panchal used to force him to do all her household work.

Police have registered an FIR against the trio and launched investigation into the matter. The medical examination confirms the boy was mercilessly beaten with bruise marks all over his body.
