As the girl approached the district magistrate and women powerline (1090) with a complaint against fourth semester student Anurag Dwivedi, supporters of both the students came to blows.
Taking note of the clashes on campus, Lucknow University has served show cause notices to 19 students of the law faculty. The LU administration has also set up a committee to probe into the allegation.
“Disciplinary action would be taken against those found guilty,” said LU Proctor Pawan Agarwal.
Meanwhile, Anurag, in his statement to the university officials, said that he had not posted any comment on the girl’s social site account.
He claimed that his account might have been hacked by somebody following which this incident took place.
