When it comes to splurging on hubby Kevin Federline, pop star Britney Spears apparently often goes overboard, but the same doesn't go true when the singer has to pay her bodyguards for their services.

Three of the singer's former bodyguards, Lonnie, Randy Jones and Silsas Dukes who were dismissed by Spears late last year (2005), have sued her for overtime pay. They allege they worked long hours but were never paid in full for their services, according to court documents, obtained by entertainment news website TMZ.com.

The lawsuit, filed on Tuesday, March 28, in Los Angeles Superior Court, claims the guards worked between 12 and 16 hours a day and were often on call 24 hours a day, but never got anything except for a straight salary.

The suit asks for compensation for unpaid wages and benefits, as well as penalties.

However, neither Spears' attorney nor the attorney for the former guards have yet given their comments.
