A British Muslim Feroz Ali Abbasi, detained at the US prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, claimed military police had sex in front of him. He also claimed they tried to feed him pork and misled him into praying towards America instead of Mecca, documents released on Friday showed.

Abbasi was captured in Afghanistan in 2001 and then sent to the prison at the military base in eastern Cuba. He tried to change his status from "enemy combatant" to prisoner of war in accordance with the Geneva Convention.

But Abbasi has admitted training as a militant in Afghanistan, although he denies being an Al-Qaeda member.

He was released on the intervention of the British government last year and on arrival here he was freed. The police said the only information against him was confidential intelligence.

Abbasi was not allowed to see that classified evidence during his hearing, where he tried repeatedly to explain that he was unfairly classified as an enemy combatant. His testimony was contained among thousands of pages of documents released to The Associated Press.

Two couples, men and women who were military police, had sex near him on two separate occasions, Abbasi said. Once, it happened while they believed him to be asleep, he said. But it also occurred "while he was praying," Abbasi said in the document, in which he referred to himself in the third person.

Built reports said there was no way to confirm the allegations.
