BSP finalises names for three more Punjab seats

Ravinder Singh Sohal would contest in Ludhiana, HC Paul Kashyap in Patiala and Gurnam Singh in Bathinda, state BSP said.

The Bahujan Samaj Party on Tuesday announced the names of its candidates for the three remaining parliamentary constituencies in Punjab -- Ludhiana, Patiala and Bathinda.

Ravinder Singh Sohal would be the BSP candidate from Ludhiana, HC Paul Kashyap from Patiala and Gurnam Singh from Bathinda, state general secretary Narinder Kashyap said in Hoshiarpur.

The candidates for 10 seats have already been announced, BSP general secretary Narinder Kashyap told reporters here.

BSP has given due representation to all the castes in state, he said adding it had fielded four candidates from upper castes.

HE said that BSP Chief Mayawati, would address election meetings at Amritsar, Hoshiarpur and Phagwara on April 23 and at Jalalabad, Barnala and Khanna on April 24.
