After sharing platform with a senior American diplomat, veteran CPI-M leader Jyoti Basu on Monday accused US President George W Bush of being the "biggest terrorist of the world".

"He is the biggest terrorist of the world and I support the protests against his visit," Basu told reporters on the sidelines of a programme in Kolkata when asked to comment on protests by Left parties against Bush's visit to India.

Basu, who earlier shared dais with US Consul General Henry Jardine at a foundation laying ceremony of a housing project for NRIs at Rajarhat New Town, also alleged Bush had made a new base in Iraq on the basis of falsehood.
