The coalition government of Congress and National Conference (NC) would definitely move to better governance in the state because of the expansion of council of ministers in Jammu and Kashmir, Soz told a group of reporters in Jammu.

Thirteen more ministers, including eight cabinet ministers, were inducted in the council of ministers in Jammu and Kashmir on July 11 taking the total number of ministers in the state cabinet to 23.

In reply to a question about non-inclusion of senior congress legislators like Choudhary Mohammad Aslam and Mohammad Sharief Niaz in the ministry, Soz said that Aslam should not harbour any anxiety for not being accommodated in the ministry this time.

However, Aslam has been offered a post of chairman of Gujjar and Bakerwal board, which is equal to the status of a cabinet minister, he said adding that he will accept the offer.

Asked about Niaz, Soz avoided direct reply, saying he (Niaz) should himself know the reasons for being left out.
