Canal breach affects polling in Bikaner

Polling was today affected in Bikaner district following inundation due to breach of a canal, police said. About 35 thatched houses were reported to be inundated.

About 35 thatched houses were reported to be inundated, in Gegada village, as the canal breached late on Sunday night, incharge of Chattargar police station said.

The district administration and election officials have rushed to the village to rescue people and suprvise polling, if stopped in anyway, he said.
