Chanakya athletes shine

CHANAKYA COLLEGE won the men?s overall championship in the inter-collegiate athletics meet that concluded at the Maj Dhaynchand grounds on Monday. Nutan College won the women?s overall championship.

CHANAKYA COLLEGE won the men’s overall championship in the inter-collegiate athletics meet that concluded at the Maj Dhaynchand grounds on Monday. Nutan College won the women’s overall championship.

Chanakya College athletes maintained their excellent form on the concluding day also. Out of the ten events held on the last day, Chanakya College athletes stood first in six categories.

The team won the 20-km walk (Anand Kumar), 200m (Mohd Atif), triple jump (Shailendra Singh), 400m (Gajendra Singh) and 400m hurdles (Abhishek).

Itarsi College won the first position in the 110m hurdles and women’s triple jump. Chief guest Hassu Khan distributed prizes to the winners. Rajesh Mishra of MANIT was the special guest. On the occasion, BU sports officer Khalil Khan, Alok Mishra, Dilip Rathore, Yogendra Singh Sengar, Habib Khan, Satish Kumar, Upendra Singh Tomar and others were present.

Best male athlete: Mohd Atif (Chanakya College)
Best female athlete: Deepika Pal (Aryan’s College)
