Chandrababu condemns attack on Indian students in Australia

Telugu Desam Party president and former CM of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu has urged the Union Government to prevail upon the Australian government immediately to initiate foolproof measures for the safety of Indian students residing in that country.

Telugu Desam Party president and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu has urged the Union Government to prevail upon the Australian government immediately to initiate foolproof measures for the safety of Indian students residing in that country.

Strongly condemning the recent attacks on Indian students, including on T Shravan Kumar of AP, Chandrababu Naidu, said in a letter to Union External Affairs ministers SM Krishna, on Saturday that there was a certain racist element involved in the "horrible and vicious" attacks.

"These gory incidents speak how insecure, unsafe and vulnerable are Indian students studying in Australia. I request you to kindly instruct the Indian High Commissioner in Australia and extend all necessary help to the victims. Help is also need to the parents for visiting their kids in Australia in this hour of sorrow," Chandrababu said.
