Charak listens to villagers' grievances in Bishnah

Senior Congress leader and former minister Gulchain Singh Charak on Sunday toured various villages in the Bishnah constituency along with the office-bearers of the block Congress committee, Bishnah.

During his tour, villagers highlighted problems being faced by them regarding road connectivity, irrigation, electricity and agriculture and requested Charak for an early redressal of grievances.

Addressing a gathering at Chack Chimna, Charak said the demands projected by villagers will be taken up at an appropriate level for early redressal.

He also assured them that the issue of road from Jakh to Arnia, which has been undertaken by the GREF for the construction, will be taken up with defence minister AK Antony to expedite the pace of work so that the people of the area may not suffer any more.

Charak said the Bishnah constituency remained neglected for the past several years and there is no proper and planned development in whole of the constituency from Arnia to Bishnah.

He made it clear that the constituency is his "Karam Bhoomi" and that he is committed to mitigate sufferings of the people of this area in particular and whole of the state in general.
