Chief Justice Patnaik and the Chief Minister discussed several issues including land for new buildings of Jabalpur and Indore district courts and posts of judges for disposing the electricity related cases, said an official release. They agreed on the need for speedy disposal of cases particularly the sensitive and heinous crime cases in subordinate courts and investigation of cases within a specific time frame.

Also present during the meeting were Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Narottam Mishra, High Court registrar general K C Sharma, additional registrar general A M Yavlekar, principal secretaries of PWD, Revenue, Industries and Law departments and secretaries to the CM Iqbal Singh Bains and S P S Parihar.
