CM announces Rs 1 cr aid for Kerala flood-affected

The chief minister has decided to give this amount to both the districts to take up flood relief measures.
The Kerala cabinet on Tuesday decided to sanction Rs one crore each to Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts to take up flood relief measures, Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan said in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday.

Talking to reporters after a cabinet meeting, Achuthanandan said collectors of all districts have been instructed to take necessary flood relief steps.
Families staying in relief camps would be given free ration for two weeks, he said.
