So, open manholes are not only a threat to the common residents but also to the VVIP’s too! But, who cares?

The drivers of CM fleet just managed to avoid these open manholes lying open for last few months in front of Nari Natya Kala Kendra in the back gate of Balrampur Hospital. It was the perfection of drivers which saved the cars skidding into the manholes. Just here and there would have resulted in a disaster said an official of the Lucknow Municipal Corporation. He said the LMC had written to Jal Sansthan a number of times to cap open manholes.

Meanwhile, municipal commissioner Santosh Kumar suspended Amrit Lal, Ram Roop, Vikki Rathore for not cleaning the garbage in front of Balrampur hospital before the visit of chief minister. While the services of another contractual employee Alok Gupta were terminated.

The municipal commissioner called his visit a routine one in the area and said the visit of the chief minister was just a coincident. He said he written to Jal Sansthan for not putting a lid on open manholes.
