Coaches give useful tips in RGPV camp

ON THE second day of the baseball and softball camp of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) being organised at the LNCT various technical tips of the games were given by coaches.

ON THE second day of the baseball and softball camp of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) being organised at the LNCT various technical tips of the games were given by coaches.

The camp is being organised to select teams for national tournament to be organised in February. Over 90 players are learning basics of the game from LNCT sports officer Pankaj Jain.

Senior national players Shumyla Siddique and Renu Yadav accompanied Pankaj in providing coaching to the players. The participants of the camp who are studying engineering, pharmacy and in others technical branches have shown keen interest in the camp. “The tips provided by the coaches will definitely help us in the tournament”, said Ishika Ahuja of LNCT.

She bagged the best player award in the recently concluded State level baseball championship organised in the City. Another participant Megha Agrawal is expecting selection in the final team. “I am working hard and expect selection in the team for the tournament”, said Megha. Piyush Agrawal, another participant expressed the same views.

According to the RGPV sports officer Firoz Zaidi the final teams will be announced after the camp. The camp will be closed on Wednesday. “The invaluable support by Dr AK Singh and Suresh Kushwaha of RGPV has made the camp possible”, said Zaidi.
