THE TWO-DAY annual cultural fest of the Red Rose Group of School ‘Colours of Life’ concluded at Ravindra Bhawan auditorium today. Students performed dance, skits and songs that were highly appreciated by the parents and audience.

Students from the different branches of Red Rose Group of Schools participated in the programme.

The programme commenced with the welcome address by Suchitra Dutt, Principal of Red Rose Berasia branch while secretary of the School Sumit Ponda congratulated the achievers of the school who were also felicitated on the occasion.

On the first day, junior students of the Berasia Road branch and Karond branch presented a wide variety of cultural programmes.

Group founder Manjula Ponda was the chief guest on the occasion. The programme started with a welcome address by Headmistress Gurinder Kaur, which was followed by the school’s annual report.

This was followed by a musical invocation of the Gods. The entire programme revolved around the main theme – ‘Colours of Life’ that depicted the story of an idol crafted by a master sculptor.

Mustafa, which comes to life and in its journey on the Earth, sees various facets of life that include joy-sorrow, success-failure, enjoyment, dances etc.

Teachers and students set the stage afire with delightful and captivating presentations. While an English skit presented by the Karond branch depicted poverty and helplessness of the poor, a sarcastic Hindi skit focused on corruption.

Students were presented awards for academic and non-academic excellence by Manjula and parents, who were selected by a draw of lots.

At the end, Karond branch principal Latifa Ahmed proposed the vote of thanks.
