?Comedy king? to entertain wireless experts

THE ‘GREAT Indian Laughter Challenge’ Champion Raju Srivastav will present comedy night charity programme organised by Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-A) on December 18.
Giving the information, IIIT-A Director Dr MD Tiwari said that the event would be organised during the three-day international Conference on Wireless Communication and Sensor Networks to be held at IIIT-A from December 17 to 19. Around two dozen dignitaries from across the world would take part in it.
Prof Dharma P Agarwal, noted expert of wireless communication from the US wil inaugurate the conference on December 17 noon.
Dr Tiwari said that Wireless Sensor and Actor Networks (WSAN) was a fast emerging technology for remote distributive monitoring and control that would take advantage of the developments in wireless communication besides other fields like embedded systems, semantic web, smart surroundings, etc.
"Unlike the conventional sensor arrays, conservation of power and wireless channel bandwidth is of utmost importance. The overall goal of the conference was to stimulate the research work and to provide a forum for exchange of ideas to the international and national community working in the area of wireless communication and sensor networks," he said.
Dr Tiwari said that WSAN was a nascent, but fast growing technology for remote distributive monitoring and control that could help the nation to develop intelligent, distributive, collaborative, multi-modality networked objects that sense and act in wide-area and in unattended environments.
The King of Comedy Raju Srivastav would present his programme as a charity event for the IIIT-A. It may be mentioned that Raju was born in Kanpur, and came to Mumbai to pursue a childhood dream of becoming an actor in Bollywood. He has a flair for comedy and has donned a number of roles in Hindi movies, television and in stage shows with some of the biggest showmen of the Hindi movie industry.
Raju has acted in about 30 films including 'Maine Pyaar Kiya' and 'Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon', but success eluded him for long.
