Talking to mediapersons here on Sunday, Congress MP from Varanasi Rajesh Mishra said that the party and its frontal organisations would stage a massive demonstration to expose the ‘anti-people’ government.

He said Union Minister of State for Labour Chandrashekhar Sahu, AICC general secretary and incharge of party affairs in UP Ashok Gehlot, UPCC chief Salman Khurshid and Congress Legislature Party Leader Pramod Tiwari would participate in the dharna.

He alleged that the State Government had failed on all fronts due to which the common people were suffering. “The government should explain how much power production has been enhanced, how many youths have given jobs and why there is no water in canals for irrigation.”

The MP alleged the State Government was misusing funds being provided by Union Government. He demanded that a white paper over the expenditure of funds provided by Central Government be issued. District Congress Committee president Harishchandra Singh and Mahanagar Congress Committee president Raees Ahmad were also present on the occasion.
