State president of the Congress Minorities Cell Abdul Mannan will be the chief guest at the conference in which they will deliver their views on the Congress and the minorities.

Talking to media persons, Ahmad said that whenever a non-Congress government came to power, various welfare schemes introduced for the welfare of minorities community members were not implemented.

Small and cottage industries run by the minority community was ruined in the last 10 years and the Muslims had lost their sources of earning due to closure of bangle industry in Firozabad, leather industry in Kanpur and handlooms in Gorakhpur, Mau, Tanda and other districts.

Ahmad said that Handloom Corporation, which was purchasing the products in 1990, was closed and the weavers were on the verge of starvation.

He lashed out at the Samajwadi Party for allegedly misleading the minority community.

He said that on one hand Mulayam Singh Yadav shared feast with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief KC Sudarshan and on the other he claimed to be a well-wisher of the minority community.
