The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is contesting by-election from Budni assembly constituency. In the memorandum, the leaders, including Deepchand Yadav, PC Sharma and Vibha Patel pointed out that Chouhan had visited some villages under Budni constituency by a helicopter on Saturday.

They urged the CEO to seek a report from district returning officer Sehore whether the helicopter used was an official one and if not, the amount spent on hiring it should be included in Chouhan’s election expenditure.

They said development works worth Rs 300 crore announced in areas under Budni constituency was also a violation of Model Code of Conduct.

Besides, Ministers of Chouhan Cabinet, including Rampal Singh and Kailash Vijayvergiya were touring areas under Budni constituency in their official car and were also misusing the official machinery to influence the electorate, they alleged.
