CMP Degree College is getting ready to start the sale of admission forms from May 16 while the sale of forms could start by May 15 at the Jagat Taran Girls' Degree College. Ewing Christian College (ECC), where the sale of admission forms have already started, will conduct the admission test on July 3 while the admission test of SS Khanna Girls' Degree College is all set to take place on July 5.
It is for the first time that the colleges are conducting admission tests after attaining constituent status of Allahabad Central University.
The admissions will be done only against sanctioned seats this year and as per the directions already forwarded to the colleges by the Central varsity.
Acting principal of CMP Degree College Dr VK Sinha informed that as per the schedule drawn up, the sale and depositing of admission forms will begin from May 16 and continue up to May 31 at the college counters.
"Price of the admission forms for general category students has been fixed at Rs 250 while the price for employees' wards and SC/ST will be Rs 100. The admission test for all the UG courses is proposed to be held on June 21," he added.
Dr Sinha said that admissions will be carried out only against the sanctioned seats of 1870 in Arts, 560 in Science that includes 335 in Bio group and 225 in Mathematics group besides 350 in Commerce.
"We will declare the admission test results on the tenth day of the admission test and start the enrollment process," he said.
Principal of Jagat Taran Girls' Degree College Dr Kamla Dubey informed that the sale of admission forms will begin in the college from May 15 and continue till June 10. The form will cost Rs 250 for BA and BCom courses.
"The forms can be deposited till June 10 without any late fee but after that a student will have to shell out an extra Rs 100 to purchase and deposit the forms between June 11 and June 20," Dr Dubey added.
She said that the admission test will be conducted on June 25 while the declaration of results will take place in the first week of July so that counselling can begin from July 18.
"This year there are 757 sanctioned seats in BA and 75 sanctioned seats in BSc against which the admissions will be carried out," Dr Dubey informed.
ECC administration claims that as per plans, the admission process will be completed by July 10 and classes will begin from July 14 itself.
Admission forms can be deposited at the college without late fee till May 24.
However, the forms would cost an extra Rs 100 on May 25 and May 26 and an additional Rs 200 on May 27 and May 28 for the late comers.
The admission test for both the BSc and BA courses will take place on June 3 while the declaration of results will take place on June 24.
The enrollment process will begin on July 6 and conclude on July 10.
At ECC, there are 450 BSc seats that include 200 for the Bio group and 250 for others while for BA there are 650 sanctioned seats for which the admissions will be carried out.
Dr Reeta Chauhan, chairman of the SS Khanna Degree College's admission committee informed that the admission forms will be available for Rs 250 at the college between June 5 and July 3.
Admission tests for Science, Arts and Commerce UG courses will take place on July 5, July 6 and July 7 respectively. "The admission test results will be declared in the second week of July while the enrollment process will be completed till July 30. There are 780 sanctioned seats of BA, 75 of BSc and 65 sanctioned seats of BCom at the college for which the admissions will be done," Dr Chauhan added.
