Convention of MP Varsities Coordination Committee today
THE FIRST convention of the newly constituted MP Universities? Coordination Association would be held at the Gyan Vigyan Bhavan of the Barkatullah University on Saturday from 10.30 am. Governor Dr Balram Jakhar would be the chief guest, while Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan would be present as special guest.

Higher Education Minister Tukojirao Panwar and Medical Education minister Ajay Vishnoi would also be prominently present on the occasion. Vice-chancellors of all 13 universities in the state would be making presentations regarding the strengths and weaknesses of their respective universities during the programme.
Addressing a press conference on Friday, the vice-chancellor of BU Prof. R S Sirohi said that the Association had been formed at the instance of the Chancellor and Governor Dr Jakhar who had insisted upon better coordination among universities with respective colleges for upgrading of quality of higher education in state.
The Association would be serving as a platform of interaction and exchange of ideas and schemes for the betterment of the students, Prof Sirohi added.
During the first convention on Saturday, the logo of the Association would be released and the Association would be formalized. The recommendations by the seven study groups formed to look into various aspects of coordination between universities and colleges would be presented during the convention.
Separate groups looked into the aspects of possibilities of interaction and coordination in the engineering and technical education, biosciences education, and law related courses, sports and culture, public information and magazine and others.
