AUSTRALIAN FOODS (I) Pvt Ltd, an Indo-Australian joint venture Cookie Man opened its first mother store in the State and ninth in the country at Treasure Island Mall on the occasion of Chocolate Day here today.
Addressing media persons, company president Pattabhi Rama Rao said that the company has been in India for more than six years and has received tremendous response. Cookies of over 50 varieties including super cookies, chocolate dipped cookies, luscious cream, filled cookies, salty savoury cookies and speciality cookies would be served at the outlet.
The cookies are available in wide variety of flavours like choco chip, coffee walnut, honey oats, coconut macaroon, short bead, peanut and ginger would also be available in the outlet.
He further said that company was looking forward to great business in the City as people here were already familiar with the brand name.
Speaking on launch of Cookie Man outlet, franchisee Urvashi Gupta said that fresh cookies were baked at the store with special recipe developed or consented by company’s R&D centre situated in Australia.
The franchisees are trained at flagship outlet at Spencers Plaza in Chennai and they follow strict guidelines to ensure maintenance of global quality standards.
She informed that most of the ingredients are taken from local market while some are imported from Australia. The cookies range from Rs 12 per piece to Rs 20 per piece and Rs 400 per kilogram and would also be available in unique range of gifting solutions designed to please discerning customers with 250 gm pack, 500 gm pack and 750 gram pack and 1.25 kg pack.
Cookie Man has a total of 11 express counters that offer pre-packed cookies and two kiosks that offers top 30 selling varieties, across the country. The famous Australian cookie ‘Anzac’ was also available in India.
