Cop hurt in militant attack in Anantnag

A police constable was critically injured in a militant attack in Anantnag district on Friday evening. Police said the militants fired at constable Abdul Rasheed near Junglat Mandi, 54 km from here. A bullet pierced Rashid's face and he was rushed to Srinagar for treatment. Panic gripped the area and people closed shops and rushed home.
