The incident took place in Jhabbara village last night when SI Rangilal and his fellow constable had gone to conduct a search for an accused named in a incident of a group clash during the Holi festivities, police said.

Both of them were later rushed to a hospital where their condition was stated to be stable.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested three persons in connection with the group clash
