Cops mum on Salem's claim on Koirala

Reports on Monday claimed Salem had confessed that actress Manisha Koirala had directed her secretary's murder.

Police in Mumbai on Monday remained tight-lipped about media reports which said underworld don Abu Salem had confessed that Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala had directed the killing of her secretary Ajit Diwan.

Diwan was murdered in the year 2001.

A television channel on Monday reported that Salem, during his lie detector test in Bangalore, had revealed that the actress had directed Diwan's elimination.

However, top police officers here were tight-lipped and refused to entertain queries in this regard.
