The Gurgaon police would now start issuing an acknowledgment bearing the name, contact number and other details of the investigating officer to the complainants. The facility would be started at all seven police stations in east police zone of the city.

These police stations are DLF City-1, 2, Sector 29, Sector 40, Sector 55/56, Sadar, and Sushant Lok.
According to senior police officials, the acknowledgement would have the name of the investigating officer and his contact number. All the Station House Officers of the seven police stations have been issued the directions in this regard by the DCP (east) Vikas Arora.
This system will definitely enable people to trust the police while filing complaints. Some residents say this is a good step towards accountability.
