Subhash Ghoshi, formerly of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was shot dead after an altercation with the accused, Khoob Singh, who is with the BJP Defence Cell.

"Supporters of the corporator stoned Khoob Singh's residence. The situation is now under control," Sagar's Superintendent of Police Vijay Raghuvanshi told IANS.
