Coulthard to retire after DTM

Former Formula One driver David Coulthard will retire from motor racing after the final race of the German touring car series DTM’s season at Hockenheim this weekend.

Former Formula One driver David Coulthard will retire from motor racing after the final race of the German touring car series DTM’s season at Hockenheim this weekend.

According to reports, the Scot wants to focus on his family as an F1 commentator. The 41-year-old, a winner of 13 F1 Grands Prix, returned to racing with DTM in a Mercedes in 2010.

Over the three seasons, his best result was a fifth place.

However, he will be retained by Mercedes-Benz as a brand ambassador.

Vettel not yet a great, Feels Jackie
Former F1 champion Sir Jackie Stewart does not believe Sebast-ian Vettel can yet be called one of the greats even if he wins a third straight title.

Stewart told BBC Sport, “If you’ve got a superior car, it’s relatively easy to win. To really show you’re one of the greatest, you have to deliver when you haven’t got the best machinery.”

Schumi to take up cowboy-style riding
New Delhi: Michael Schumacher told Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sport about his plan to take up competitive cowboy-style riding after retiring from F1.

He said that his wife Corinna, a keen horsewoman, had given the suggestion.

“I’m thinking of getting involved in Western Riding competitions. Corinna has already chosen the right horse for me.”
