CPI-M worker hacked to death in Kerala

A CPI-M worker, who was undergoing treatment in a hospital was hacked to death by suspected BJP activists.

A CPI-M worker, who was undergoing treatment in a private hospital at Chalakkudi near Thrissur was hacked to death by suspected BJP activists on Saturday, police said.

Mahin (28) was admitted to the hospital a fortnight back with stab injuries which he suffered in an another attack allegedly by BJP workers.

The assailants sneaked into Mahin's room in the hospital and escaped after mortally wounding him.

Mahin was a member of the CPI-M's trade union wing CITU in the area.

A case has been registered but no arrests made, police added.
