The player, who has been described as one of the more savvy and joyous cricketers in the Pakistan team, hid himself behind a pillar in the hotel lobby when he caught sight of Imzamam trudging into the hotel lobby, family in tow.

Team sources said that though Inzamam would have said nothing had he seen the player engrossed in conversation with the woman, it was out of respect that the player refrained from playing flirt.

"Inzamam knows what each player is like but even if he had spotted this player he would not have said anything but still from the reaction of the player one can judge the respect the skipper commands," The News quoted a player as saying.

"He exudes authority with firmness and without resorting to bullying anyone or shouting if the team is not doing well, something that used to happen a lot in the past in the team," said another player.
