Karsten, the 57-year-old bridegroom, and Ulla, 63, came to India three months back for an Ayurvedic treatment.

While undergoing treatment at some clinics in some places in Kerala and Chennai, they came to know about Hindu marriage rituals and decided to enter into wedlock in the traditional custom, though they had married earlier in their country as per Christian traditions, Pierre, an associate of Karsten, said.

The wedding, amidst chanting of vedic mantras by Sanskrit scholars led by priest Karthikeyan, was held in the premises of Sri Vedapureeswarar temple.
