Deer dies of gunshot injuries

A DEER injured by poachers on Thursday succumbed to gun shot injuries on Friday after forest officials rushed the animal here for treatment from Bhimpura village under Mandi police station, Sehore. Profuse bleeding was said to be the cause of death.

The forest officials had arrested two persons on charge of poaching and seized flesh and skin of a black buck, which they had hidden in a dry tube-well in Bhimpura on Thursday.

Meanwhile, two more persons Bablu and Arif were arrested today in connection with the same case bringing the total number of accused to four. All the accused were sent to jail.
