Kate Darnton in Best of luck, parents (February 1) has vividly described the plight of young parents, who have to jump through hoops to secure school admission for their tiny tots. In matters of primary school admissions, New Delhi schools come across as even more difficult to gain admission to than the Ivy League colleges in the US. This acute problem can be traced to a paucity of good schools. There is a surplus of students and very few good institutions that can accommodate them.
