Dengue cases mount to 17

A student of MLN Medical College, Sachin, tested positive for dengue.

According to SRN Hospital sources. he was staying at the undergraduate hostel of the medical college.

According to the malaria department reports, Obase (14), son of Mumtaz Ahmed of Shahganj, tested positive for dengue.

His family members brought him to the SN Children’s Hospital. “While the condition of the child is stable, the other patients are recovering,” said district malaria officer DN Shukla. Shukla said the municipal officials conducted fogging in Allahapur and Jhunsi.

Meanwhile, chief medical officer Dr Shantimal Singhavi inspected the male sterilisation camp at Meja and Handia. On finding a medical officer absent during his inspection, the CMO ordered the officials to cut salary his salary. The medical officer was in Manda.
