Lakhvinder Singh (29) of BSF’s 68 Battalion has reportedly told the Special Investigation Team probing the incident that his commanding offer, R.K. Bildri, had handed him a cocked gun and told him to fire at Zahid Farooq.
Sources said the interrogation reports of all the 18 BSF constables, who were part of the patrol team on February 5, matched on this.
“He (the officer) cocked his gun and held it to his shoulder but later passed it on to me,” the accused constable has told SIT.
