"I have not got any complaints so far and the law is same for everybody. When the petition comes from President we will certainly consider it," Chief Election Commissioner BB Tandon told reporters when asked about the disqualification petition filed against Gandhi.

The Commission has so far not received any presidential reference regarding Gandhi's alleged holding of an office of profit.

Gandhi is under attack for allegedly holding an office of profit as chairperson of the National Advisory Council with the Opposition demanding disqualification of her Lok Sabha membership as was done in the case of Rajya Sabha's Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan.
