While Chinta Yadav raised the issue before the Chief Minister, district magistrate Dr Hariom categorically denied the charges levelled against him. The district officials directed PWD to give the details regarding the allotment of guesthouse to zila panchayat chairperson.

The district officials had conducted a raid at room number 1 of the PWD guesthouse at 11:30 pm on Thursday following complaints that some anti-social elements took shelter in the guesthouse.

However, Chinta Yadav expressed her displeasure at the raid and demanded stringent action against the officials involved in the incident. Yadav said that she was residing with her husband Sadhu Sharan Yadav at the guesthouse allotted to her.

When city magistrate Ayodhya Prasad reached the guesthouse and said that some anti-social elements had taken shelters in the guesthouse, she was shocked.

Terming the raid as shocking, she said it had deeply hurt her feelings. While she tried her best to contact district magistrate on phone, his mobile was switched off.

Therefore, she wrote a letter to the Chief Minister and the district magistrate.

She wanted to know the reasons for the district magistrate’s failure to inform her about the complaints.

Meanwhile, the district magistrate said that PWD guesthouse was neither allotted to zila panchayat chairperson nor she was found residing there.

Hariom said that district administration was receiving complaints that people residing near PWD guesthouse were misusing the rooms.

He further said that it was only a routine check not the raid as Chinta Yadav was claiming.

When the district officials reached the guesthouse, SP district secretary Rajnish Yadav along with Avdhesh Yadav and others were there with Chinta Yadav.

Though sources said that the raid was the result of ongoing infighting between two groups of the Samajwadi Party leaders, district president of Lohia Vahini Sanjay Pahelwan and others strongly condemned the raid.
