DMK president M Karunanidhi has announced that his party is willing to 'reduce their share' and 'sacrifice' seats to accommodate others during the coming assembly polls.

At the same time, he added that it would be difficult to include the All India Forward Bloc and Dalit Panthers of India as there were not enough seats.
The parties had expressed a desire to join the DMK-led Democratic Progressive Alliance.
He said that it was the PMK's wish whether it wanted to share some seats with the DPI. "It is that party's wish. We will not ask about it," he said.
"There will be only a deputy speaker, no deputy CM" he said, ruling out the possibility of a deputy chief minister from the party if it was voted to power.
He was also confident that the Manmohan Singh Government at the Centre would complete its full term and would not be destabilised by the Left.
