The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Gurgaon police are at loggerheads over setting up a police station at MG Road Metro station. While the police complain about lack of basic amenities, the DMRC says the facility has been set up without their permission.

“Police have forcefully occupied the room and even misbehaved with Metro employee. They have been demanding free passes but we asked them to complete paper works so that we can issue them free passes. But, nothing has been done from their part”, said a DMRC official.
He said the police were supposed to set up a police station at Huda City Centre Metro
station instead of MG Road. “We had written a letter to Gurgaon police commissioner on June 23 and sent a copy to Haryana DGP to sort out this issue by sitting across the table,” the official said.
The DMRC said that police have also taken electricity connection illegally and are running air-conditioner, which poses the risk of short circuit.
“We got a request for setting up a police station on April 30 and police occupied the room on May 20. We need some time to make space for it but police did not give us time,” the DMRC official said.
Earlier, the DMRC has asked the police department to show the documents on the basis of which they have possessed the space in the Metro premises.
