Over five armed ultras raided doctor Pramod Kumar Singh's house and fired at him from close range, killing him on the spot late last night, sources said.

Two persons were taken into custody in this connection, they said, adding one motorcycle, a country-made pistol and five rounds of ammunition were recovered from them.
