Doda police rescues Engineering student from terrorists

DODA police on Monday late evening rescued an engineering student that was kidnapped on October 5th, reports Zorawar Singh Jamwal.

Doda police on Monday late evening rescued an engineering student who was kidnapped on October 5th and was being forced to work as a porter by a group of armed terrorists.

Giving details, SSP Doda Manohar Singh informed that "one Khalid Latief Batt son of Abdul Latief Batt resident of Kotal Sazan was taken away by Lashker terrorists from Forwan area on October 5th."

"Following the information of the incident, Doda police initiated an investigation that revealed LeT terrorists identified as Muzamil, Yasir, Aqib and Imran picked Kahlid on gunpoint when he was on his way to Jammu from his house," said SSP Doda.

"A trainee of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Jammu, Khalid Latief informed that during his 38 days of captivity, terrorists used to force him to carry their luggage and eatables," informed SSP Manohar Singh adding that "the rescued boy has been handed over to his parents and so far 30 youth that were forcibly picked up by terrorists have been rescued by the police."
