Delivering his views on this occasion, Dr Shailendra Kumar, a noted physician, said that the number of patients of mouth cancer had rapidly increased and called upon the youths to discard tobacco.
Speaking at a function, Dr Kumar said that the lung cancer and heart ailments, including the blood pressure, were common among the youths due to excess use of tobacco.
Dr AB Pathak, who also spoke on the occasion, said that pan and tobacco shops near schools and colleges should be banned.
He also urged the social activists and NGOs to publish the photographs of the people, suffering from mouth cancer, on the packets of cigarette and pan masala. He said that the mouth cancer was more fatal than any other cancer as the possibilities of the survival of the patients reduced day by day. He also focused on various kinds of mouth cancer.
Hindu Jagran Manch leader Rakesh Singh Pahelwan expressed concern over use of tobacco or paan masala.
