There's something about it. Every time I strap on my rucksack, lace up my sneakers and turn the key in the lock- I feel like the Terminator. No matter where I'm heading - the thrill is great.

Every time I strap on my rucksack, lace up my sneakers and turn the key in the lock- I feel like the Terminator.

No matter where I'm heading - the thrill is so great that invariably I start feeling invincible, apprehensive, exhilarated and tad nervous - all at the same time. The last bit promptly concealed by a raised eyebrow and a smile as I vanish into the unknown.

Pity, I do not have a vanity list of my destinations to share, but the objective is to get you all going. To tell that if have your wits about you, then exploring new places is perhaps the best way to find yourself.

Though most of my personal travel so far has been the 'I-feel-suicidal-need-to-go-out-of-the-city-right-now' types, I can't complain. With every solo trip, I have grown. And so would you.

To convince you further, I have interviewed my friend Charlie (Charlotte Beech for you) who at 20 something has made a career out of globetrotting and illustrates how fascinating solo-travel can be for girls.
