Acting on a tip off, police raided a house in Narwal area of the city and arrested one Mohammad Iqbal, a resident of Kokernag area of Anantnag district.

Police claimed that they have recovered eight-and-a-half kgs of charas from him. The accused had purportedly brought the contraband from valley and was to deliver it to a Delhi-based peddler. A case has been registered against the accused.
